Hi i am 11. I will be 12 in 52 days (yep im good in maths.. kidding haha) i have discharge around 6-10 mothns and it's milk white. Does this really works to get my first period? Can someone tell me?

@ Master : Same for except I was discharging at 11 and now im 12. I had some brown stuff in my underwear and im not sure what to do if someonecan please help me all I want re answers. PLEASE HELP!!!!

I'm 19 years old and have sex with my partner without condom, and that time was near about 28 days of my last period, and then I've taken a birth control pills, it's 5 days over still now my period did not start, and I'm getting very afraid, can you help me? @ Oishi : @ Oishi first of all don't do unprotected sex causes not only having fear of preg...nd unprotect sex may also causes std...always use protection...nd u r using b.c pills nd I think use should use prega nws..test...nd take care ur body becozz excess of pills also effects on ur fertility.....!nd u r only 19 yrs old...stay healthy nd safe.

Alright girls. I'm 23, have been mesturating for over a decade. It'll start when it starts, don't try to rush it. It does suck. It is more of an annoyance. But it is also a trial of being a woman so you'll adapt. Enjoy your youth before adolescents.

@ Tyresha : sorry that last part didn't make sense...but every girl is different. Just because someone the same age as you has it doesn't mean you should have it at the same time too.

I'm Gertrude and I just got my period which means I'll be getting it in July which is when I'll be in Europe and I don't use tampons which scares me because I wanna swim with my friends in the exotic lakes of Spain France and Italy so I need my period ASAP! I'm 12 by the way

@ Gertrude : Ugh, I hate getting my periods when we are about to go swimming. It just feels really awkward. But I usually just put a pad on anyways and go swimming. You don't have to put one on bcuz the water pressure holds the blood in. But I put one on anyways, it'll be soaked when you get out of the water, but that's what i do. You can decide what to do tho...... ;)

@ Gertrude : Hi Gertrude! You just got your period which means it might not be regular yet, so you might not have it then. I don't use tampons either (they scare me too), when I want to swim I usually use a pantie liner and I haven't leaked once. But I have usually where swimming shorts over my bathing suit for swimming (not the long ones that boys wear) which provide extra coverage. I normally change mine frequently because my period makes me paranoid. Maura is right the water pressure holds the blood in but you do need to hurry to the bath room after swimming. If you follow her suggestion and use a pad make sure it's not too thick because your friends will be able to tell. Don't use Kotex Security pads because they will fall apart even if your not in the water. I recommend using a thin pad if you think you need to use a pad instead of liner for swimming. When you get out of the water wrap a towel around your waist and head to the bathroom. I usually find that drinking plenty of water helps me on my period. I like to drink cold water with a lemon in it, but you could try warm it's good too. For me it helps cramps and other period symptoms. Make sure if you are on your period when you go you take what you need like lots of pads, some Midol, many pair of underwear, an extra bathing suit, and if you go on a plane you probably won't get to shower so buy baby wipes or those nice Summers Eve wipes. Be prepared and have fun in Europe. Your so lucky! I wish I could go to Europe too! -B

@ Gertrude : @ Gertrude you know they have mini tampons but don't rush it. I tried a big tampon once and then i literally died so what i do is i put a slim pantiliner on the inside of my bathing suit. Plus i do competitive swimming so like.... ???? But if youre only swimming for fun do whatever makes you feel comfy and go ahead! (Btw i was really uncomfy but i tried to hold it cuz i wanted to win!)

@ ChaanelM_ : For the first 3 years it will be irregular. Meaning it will come and go as it pleases; it might come late and last weeks or days and it might come early and do the same. You might even get it twice a month or it might skip a month or more

@ Catie Caffey : hey .. I just thought you might get a little help from me. Now what you can do for the tampon insertion to not pain, go to some place private, try putting one leg on top, maybe a leg on the toiled seat shut, and try not to let your inner wall muscles to contract, try to be calm and composed. You could use a tampon with an applicator or without, try whichever suits you.
